Tips for Tough Times
Feeling “blue”?!  Sometimes our uncomfortable feelings are described as the color blue. These could be feelings like sad, lonely, tired, annoyed, etc. It’s important to remember that just like a rainbow our feelings don’t stay “blue” forever. In every day we feel comfortable and uncomfortable feelings. We experience a spectrum or 🌈 of feelings. That being said, the next time you’re feeling “blue” try some of these helpful things to brighten your mood:
  • Reach out.  Tell someone how you’re feeling.  Ask for help.
  • Look up videos of cute puppies, kittens, or anything else cute!
  • Be patient with yourself.  Give yourself enough time to work through what you’re feeling.
  • Do a healthy activity that you enjoy (climb a tree, build a snowman, draw a picture of a snowman climbing a tree).
  • Focus on the solution-not the problem.
  • Listen to up-beat cheery music like the Baby Shark song!
  • Eat healthy, get enough rest and exercise!  You will begin to feel better and your thoughts will be clearer.
