Spring Break in 2021

Emma Smith, Dedicated Writer

2021 is a already weird one because Covid-19 is affecting all of us. People can’t travel for spring break like they have in the past.  The good news is, there are millions of ways to still have fun this spring break!

The Start of Spring Break

In normal times, many families would get up the first day of break and go on a plane, get in the car, or just get packing to go on a trip. This year is different. The first day of break might be a quiet one, but maybe this year is a time to do something that can never be done during spring break. Get brainstorming, make a plan. Everyone in the family can pitch in.  Nine days to do whatever. It is just like a stay-cation.

Stay-cation

A stay-cation is just like what is sounds. It is a vacation at home. Anything can be done during a stay-cation. Maybe get all the laundry done, watch a bunch of movies, or do a bunch of crafts, binge watch a show, go for a bike ride, or just simply go outside. It is free time to go with the flow. Although it has been almost like a stay-cation for a million weeks, kids can still have fun by having nine days off of school.

Books And Movies To Watch

Spring break starts on the 22nd of March and end on the 28th, so there is plenty of time to watch some good movies and read some good books.

One great series in my opinion is any Disney movie collection. Toy Story, Cars, etc… It is a great way to keep your mind entertained while being relaxed on the couch. If you do not have all of these DVDs or do not have Disney Plus, this idea might not be for you.

Another Thing to do

Another thing that is great to do on a stay-cation is get baking in the kitchen. It is a great way to have fun and keep you occupied for HOURS! If you do not have any ideas on what to bake or how to bake here is an article to check out.  (The article is mainly for Christmas but you can still bake those cookies anytime of the year.)
