Just Go For It

Leia Wilson, Dedicated Writer

It’s honestly so weird to think that I’ve been working on the Newspaper for two years and that my time at this school is coming to an end already.

When I first arrived at Westlake, I was nervous but also excited about the possibilities. When I first learned about the Newspaper Club, I was immediately intrigued, but didn’t know if I was going to be able to work on it due to another after-school activity that I didn’t want to give up.

Fortunately, when seventh grade came around and I expressed my interest in joining, I learned that I didn’t have to go to the club meetings to be a part of this group, and I started writing for the Westlake Observer. I have really enjoyed the creativity and freedom involved in this job.

To anyone thinking about joining I would say just go for it.  Even if you have a busy schedule, there is so much flexibility, and it’s a great experience.  Ms. Kaehny and Mrs. Cianfrance are both amazing teachers who will always help you. The group of people in the club are also awesome and will inspire you.
